Does the Venue provide food?

We do not provide food. You can bring in your own food/catering (2 refrigerators with freezer access – prep area available) or hire a caterer. We have a list of local vendor suggestions we can share with you. 

How early should I book the venue and/or plan my event?

Generally finding a place to hold your event is one of the biggest obstacles. The sooner you secure it the better, to avoid conflicts or unavailability. Time is your enemy. You should start planning or hire a coordinator for any special event asap to ensure its success and minimize problems that may arise.

Does The Carriage House have a liquor license?

We do not have a liquor license, so you can bring your own alcohol and it can be self-serve or  you can hire a bartender. ( a VT State Liquor license may be required for the day, with a Special Event or Festival permit ). 

Is the Venue handicapped accessible?

We are a handicapped with disabilities accessible event space.

How many people can be accommodated?

We can comfortably accommodate 50 guests indoors and  100+ guests in nice weather utilizing the pavilion, patio and large lawn space. We have seating for 60 guests.

Does the space have easels available?

We have 4 easels that can be used for large pictures or poster boards.

What technology does the space have?

We have a 36 in. TV screen that you can plug a thumb drive into or bring a laptop and plug that into the HDMI port to provide information or scrolling your favorite pictures. We also have Wifi and a portable wireless speaker.

Does the venue provide tablecloths?

We do have ivory and black tablecloths in lap length or floor length that can be used. We do not iron them, but they typically look fine when a centerpiece, tablescape, and or table runner is added to them. We have a list of vendors who can provide those items to enhance the look or provide you with a different color. We use 72” round tables.

Who is the artist that did the paintings on the walls?

All the paintings in the event venue have been done by Eric Tobin. Eric is a local, nationally known, landscape artist. Any of the paintings can be purchased.

What is the HearthStone Ultimate Outdoor Patio set? –

It includes  a wood fired pizza oven, a 40” griddle, and a Meteor wood pit with enamel surface. All of these can be utilized when run by knowledgeable staff. The pizza oven can accommodate 14 in. pies. https://www.hearthstoneoutdoor.com

Does the Carriage House have an event planner?

We have previously partnered with Dannie McFarland of Green Mountain Gatherings for event planning needs. Dannie and her team can be available to provide you with a variety of different levels of service depending on what you are interested in. 

What are the hours for the Venue?

The event venue opens at 9am. All events need to end by 9pm allowing 1 hour for clean up and be closed by 10pm.
